ABOUT THE G.S.O. ARCHIVES

When the General Service Office Archives formally opened its doors in November 1975, its goal was to provide an environment dedicated to exploring A.A.’s history, serving members of the A.A. Fellowship and the general public. The G.S.O. Archives continues to pursue this goal and commits itself to serving individuals with an interest in discovering A.A.’s roots and growth around the world.

The General Service Office Archives is located at 475 Riverside Drive, between 119th and 120th Streets in Manhattan. Visitors are invited to tour the library and exhibit space, which displays a variety of material significant to the Fellowship’s history. The Archives are open to the public from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Requests to conduct research at the G.S.O. Archives may be submitted by e-mail or by regular mail.
