What is the Northeast Region?

A region is defined as "A grouping of several areas from which a regional trustee comes to the board of trustees. There are six regions in the U.S., two in Canada."
From the A.A. Service Manual, page S20

Delaware (Area 12) is a part of the Northeast Region, which contains 18 Areas.
